Metaphysics Series
2010
Curiosity and creativity go hand in hand. And at the top of the curiosity that questions me, there's all the metaphysics topics. With this series, I play around a few concepts that fascinate me.
Transient Vessel
All advances in science have not yet been able to provide a response to the step of after life, to the question of the soul, and to this need that has men to persist after his life. Religion not responded much better in my opinion. Questions remains. Do I have a soul? A still unkown energy that animate me? Or am I just a conscious meat machine? Do I have a body or am I a body? Do I disappear with the death of my flesh or do I last forever in the univers infinite energy?
Mighty Dust
We are a cluster of atoms, some cosmic dust that has always been and always will be. Nothing ever disappears in the universe, nothing is ever frozen. We are just a transient stack of an immortal dust in constant transformation, stuck on a much bigger stack of dust travelling at breakneck speed in the vacuum. A fascinating perspective and a procession of questions. Am I immortal? Will I reborn in a human shape or as a star? What's the end of this infinite journey?
Real Illusions
We figured out for a long time that the reality surrounding us is just our brain interpretation of a set of electromagnetic waves, vibrations and electric signals, and that not all living creatures are perceiving the environment the same way. Men have measured and coded the most possible of shades of these perceptions to make references, put words and value on it, and so on. But the absolute truth about our environment's reality remains subject to interpretation. Do I trust the others for naming what I perceived? Do I see the reality? Are my sens or my brain fooling me? Am I in the matrix?
